The Vigo County Treasurer conducts an annual tax sale of properties with delinquent property taxes, as required by Indiana law.
When does a property become eligible?
Property taxes must be three (3) or more installments past due for a property to be eligible for tax sale. Postmarks are valid for regular tax payments but do not apply to properties being certified for tax sale.
My property was sold in the tax sale. How do I get it back?
Properties sold in the tax sale may be redeemed by the property owner. Contact the Auditor’s Office at 812-462-3361 for redemption information.
